today on drops there were a LOAD of "barnstaree.net.au" , dubbo, mudgee etcccc etccc

can't seem to find a .com.au active so does anyone know the reason.

just trying to learn more about PD

Did you check the whois prior to them dropping?

Maybe cross check that with their ABN. etc

no, i only saw them after the drop, i'm not interested in the domains, just the reason why so many .net.au 's with a common theme would be PD

ok, so throw me a bone here and take a guess, its obviously a significant drop on PD domains so i guess my question is in what "types" of circumstances does this occur. the domain name doesn't matter in this question

ok, so why bother, they aren't getting any money back, they are now all available for registration.

most Policy Delete are auDA deletions usually for non compliance with the eligibility policy, to a lesser extent misspelling policy and monetisation policy deletions also occur.

As pointed out, often registrants ask their registrar to delete domains, they are client requested deletes
