LLL.io domain

I can see there was a surge on the pricing when they were released and it seems recent sales are between 100-200$ USD. I bought a LLL.io, it's a word / nickname. 'JNR'.io

Do you think it's worthless? I was going to just turn it into a free domain website similar to bq.si

I have no experience with the .io's only that startups and new software businesses tend to use the .io for their sass, and it might be of use to them.

I do see some .io sales on the Namebio report, although not huge. If you have the tolerance to pay the reg fee it may be worth keeping for another year, if not you can try auction it off at either flippa or Namepros, I think you may do ok?

3L.io domains gets bids at park.io. If you list it there and you're happy with a price of $XXX then it seems like a name that would sell.

Does anyone know where I can get a script like this? http://bq.si/
It creates a subdomain for free which basically puts the shortened url in an iframe
Some digging through their source code, you can download a copy of this free script here. http://www.milliscripts.at/index.php?do=redir
Requirements to run milliscripts Redirection 1.4
  • php 4 - php 4.1 or greater!!!
  • mySQL
  • wildcarded DNS (ask your webspaceprovider)
  • the ability to place .htaccess files in your web root
  • and of course: 1 or more domains

Note if you just install it as instructed, then it's not entirely secure, make sure you block file indexes, as this is how I could dig around. Ie on the site you mentioned add /free/html/ and you poke around.

It also looks like they've added some of their own coding to style it better.

Wow awesome I couldn't find that. I'm going to combine the free subdomain script with my new url shortener. Check it out, PM me if you want a copy - http://jnr.io

I never considered using a shortener, I always thought your Url is your online business card?

It's not for promotion, it's for people with ranks to earn money on warez, downloads, or just links between their content. You also track clicks and location of clicks to whatever link you promote if you can't place analytics on it. It's basically a way to earn money / track outgoing traffic.

Sorry for the late response been away. Re nulled scripts.. @Guidex
Yep don't do it. Just pay for it.

There are possible implications to your server, and reputation, for compromised or non- legit software. Obviously there can be legal ramifications if caught by the Envato Legal Team, or other providers that may have a form of tracking in their scripts.

A Couple of good blog posts from Security Firm Sucuri come to mind as a possible deterrent. Worth knowing what you may be installing. https://blog.sucuri.net/2016/05/nulled-wordpress-themes-malvertising-black-hat-seo.html and https://blog.sucuri.net/2014/03/unmasking-free-premium-wordpress-plugins.html and https://blog.sucuri.net/2015/05/fake-jquery-scripts-in-nulled-wordpress-pugins.html
