Seems cheap - the apartment not the website!

Nice site every property selling should have one

Joe, good looking site, if you did that by yourself, i'm mighty impressed!

David - it appears to be student accommodation so there may possibly be a heap of rules/fees.

I agree, every house selling should have a website, a template driven site, with their address as the URL. Surely there must be some real estate agencies doing this? I have seen some previously for top end real estate...

If not, Joe, could be a good opportunity...

It is a student apartment
In Victoria that means no carpark and the tennant or owner occupier must be a full time student
Nevertheless it is cheaper than other similar properties

Thanks for the compliment. Yes I did it .
You are right. It is a student apartment. Just one basic rule that reduces the number of buyers. Must be occupied by a student.

Hodges.com.au appear to be giving houses they are selling a .com domain
e.g. www.33middlecrescentbrighton.com
I am thinking why are they using dot com and not com.au ?
Oh yeah.. The stupid minimum reg period 2 year rule
And I am thinking they could be using suburb.com or suburb.com.au with the address as a sub-domain
This might mean that suburb domains will be in high demand
One agent might save about $5k per year in reg fees if they owned a suburb domain and used subdomains as the street and number

Yes on the rare occasions I see them using a dedicated URL they always go .com. Price (cos many business owners still think MIT only) and the two year thing (which may well be changing soon)

That's a great idea. 25HighSt.Carlingford.com.au

I had an idea a way back. I registered a domain using the ccTLD of Sao Tome - Pitt.St. (Pitt St is a very busy commercial & retail street in Sydney's CBD)

Idea was to lease subdomains to estate agents. Eg they might be selling a new development at number 147 so they could use 147.Pitt.St on their signs/marketing.

Anyway didn't get round to giving it a shot in the end...

My cousin's place is going on the market soon I think they were paying a bit to the agents to make a fully blown site. As the property is going for like 10 million range.
