Hmm... I stand corrected. No bids.

I'm very surprised at that and have happily registered it myself.

Dunno.. might do a study on the investment returns of .com domains over the last 5 years or so.

As it happens, I was thinking about making a site talking about the growth in .au domains over the same period. Andrew, do you guys fancy selling Fabulous.com.au please?

To quote old mate Thies in the Australian article...

""Right now .com is definitely the most valuable real estate and will likely remain the gold standard, and the greater the number of URLs that are registered the higher the price that is paid for original .com domains."

Definitely disagree with what he has said there, I don't think values change due to registration numbers. You can take say 2000-2002 where values fell maybe 90% whilst .com's registered didn't really change much. They are to a degree related but one does not cause the other in my view, not when all the speculative registrations are thrown in the mix. Another good example is .mobi and a lot of other domainer tlds where prices clearly don't move with registrations.

I think the statement was made in reference to .com's vs the new generic TLD's.

It would be a good name for a complaints site, lousy service / products etc.... I considered buying it but missed the action_good on ya David

Good thinking although I just don't know whether I could bring myself to help these bloody internet losers to anonymously bitch and whinge about various companies.
