First Email/letter to end-user?

I was hoping there might be some example of Emails that people send as the first contact to the end-user of a domain that you're trying to sell?
I'm sure there's an art in not sounding too spammy or salesman-like, and explaining the value of the domain to them in just a couple of lines... so I'm hoping there are some example out there from the more experienced domainers, that can get me onto the right track.;)

Lets say you are selling a .com name here is a template we have used, which sounds like you are a 3rd party acting on behalf of the client.
Hi (insert name) - Find it from some research, domain tools/ who is, linkedin ect, you need to contact the right person to make the purchase.
Our client purchased the domain XYZ.com two years ago with the intent to develop the property for their business which is also based in your space. The client has since decided they will not develop this website due to a change in direction for the business. We noticed that you are currently in the space actively from a paid search point of view and also you have XYZ .com domain. This domain would be a perfect addition to your business. Our client is interested to sell the domain and is currently talking to a few interested parties you are one of them.
If you are interested in making an offer on this domain please reply to me by the end of the week.
Thanks for your time.

Sounds great, thank you James!
I was thinking along the lines that you'd need to explain domain value to them, as most people are completely ignorant of this. Most business people I've talked to have no idea of domain costs, and other think only of values around the registration costs. I guess this is not something you can explain in a couple of lines. :)

This was an old guest article I did years ago on here! Some of the tips are still good. ;)
