Test your site here to find any issues. https://www.whynopadlock.com/
Yes I'm using that site, but its not always the best, as it won't allow you to check for errors inside membership pages, or non public facing pages.
The easiest is to use the inspect tool in chrome of firebug in Firefox.
A quick example of how to do this in chrome, is load inspect tool, click on the Network tab, in the filter section, type "mixed content:" (without the quotes). You then need to refresh your page to load through the filter. There are further audit tools that can help you here. But because its browser based you can use it in dev environments, or local environments without issue.

the big one right now because of google is SSL Insecure Content Fixer
its quick and easy , in general settings use "capture all"

another one i just used is "Conditional Menus"
https://www.fitnfirm.com.au/berwick/
https://www.fitnfirm.com.au/parkhill-plaza/

NOTE: this is not my work, the client is full control and i just do some additions for them.

but the way i am using it is they had 1 gym and now are starting another, although i suggest a different way of expanding the site the client wanted it like this, so it works that you create different menus and then allocate that menu to each page as you expand the site.

the benefit i see is that its an easy way to a WPMU until a client is willing to invest in WPMU structure.

YESSSSSSSSS, i am sure there are better ways but this was also a "time poor" solution, i think its useful for 2-3 locations and then you have to look for a different solution.

Nice. What did you use before?
I've been using upfront by WPMU Dev, it was good, because it had its own theme builder, it allowed you to create the different template files, and then build the pages accordingly, but it was taking a really long time to use, and the examples were few and far between. It did however allow the files to be exported as a finished theme, which then couldn't be edited only used as a child theme for clients, a component that was what drew me to it in the first place. But it became a hindrance and I frankly stoped using it. And was on the search for another page builder. I was hoping to hold off till the blackfriday sale for the 25% DISCOUNT but couldn't wait because a client wanted me to design his site with it, and I needed to get it and use it before losing the gig.

i now use only divi theme from elegant themes and am soooooooooooooooooooo happy with it
my only criticism is you REALLY have to update it immediately there is an update, i haven't worked out why, it doesn't make sense but you just have to?
i find it really easy , flexible, and fast. i think really it comes down to what you are prepared to learn as there are many good ones out there.
the divi "community" is VERY strong with ample tuts and youtubes so finding how to do little things is quiet easy.

I've dabbled with WPBakery but just never seem to find the time to really get into it.

Elegant Themes have a useful newsletter too.

we offer many packages to clients, basically we tailor every client, some just want us to do it all, some want to learn so we work out whats best for them and their knowledge base.

i may have a client where they want a 50 page website so we go down the path of design/function and then tutorials, so we will build say 5 pages and then build the next 5 WITH them, they will complete the next 40 with tutorials along the way.

same for ecom WOOcommerce sites, we will put in the first 5 categories and 2 products each category and then spend the rest of the time on tutorials.
note: the end result will be mind mapped first to ensure the design suits the end result, navigation etc.

both methods actually reduce our potential ongoing earnings but increase our referrals so its win win i think.

this may sound of thread but i suppose i am trying to explain the flexibility of these new "drag and drop" style templates.

my advice is that its all about the code that is output and the load speeds, if its been coded "lazily" then you are stuffed, so go with the big ones that manyyyyyyyyyyyyy people are using and avoid freebies, seriously PAY as its just gonna cost you headache in the end .

Google Photos to WP
https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-picasa-albums-viewer/
Really liking this at the moment. See it in action here: https://www.tictocequestrian.com.au/gallery/
Feeds photos from Google photos to the website. So easy to just have clients add photos to specific albums and they go live right away.

Facebook Posts to WP
Another good one is: https://codecanyon.net/item/wordpress-automatic-plugin/1904470
It captures FB posts and turns them into WP posts. You can set critiria to have posts with specific words go to specific categories etc.. Worth the moolah.
Example here: https://www.tictocequestrian.com.au/news/
You can also have it go back as far as you like. It pulled posts from as far back as 2014 (When the page started) for me on this site.
Can pull posts from so many sources. Again another set and forget that is useful for clients that are not as savvy to post directly on their site.
