Two days left on the auction, currently at $3,000 with no reserve.

https://flippa.com/auctions/117538/Apartment-Review-Website---Australian

Currently number 6 on the "most active" list with plenty of bids coming in.

The site has plenty of page 1 and position 1 rankings for various apartment complexes around the country, so could be a good purchase for those in the accommodation space...?

If you have any questions PM me through dntrade or flippa.

Thanks David.

There have been two bidders going back and forward for the last few days, but it seems to have settled down now.

$3,300 with 2 hours to go...

There was a fair bit of action overnight and the auction has been auto-extended a few times.

With one hour to go the bid is currently at $6,966.

And yes the site does have a privacy policy. :)

Congrats! You've done well.

I'm interested to know how your post auction payment goes. I'm also selling a site on Flippa atm but am a little concerned about the lack of knowledge about .com.au regulation.

If the buyer does not have a ABN number then I would be a bit worried.

All sales I have done via (site point) old flippa and also on Flippa I have just done payment via Paypal..And a few times I have used Escrow.com ...I have never had a huge problem just one buyer took ages to get the funds together..and another time 1 buyer pulled out after it sold so I sold it to the second highest bidder.

Thanks Jonathan, I'm pretty happy with the sale.

Regarding AU regulation, I just emailed each bidder before accepting their bid to make sure they were located in Australia and knew about the regulations. I think the level of awareness must be fairly high, because only one person wasn't aware of it, and he wasn't a bidder anyway, just a tyre kicker.

I'm expecting the payment process to fairly smooth as the bidder is representing a reasonably large company based in Melbourne.

My number one tip to anyone selling an AU site on Flippa would be to market it yourself rather than relying on Flippa. Of the six bidders, four of them had registered with Flippa after my auction started, and I know that at least two of the bidders (including the eventual winner) were people who I had contacted whilst marketing the site.

I'm sure Flippa is awesome when selling a .com site that has appeal all over the world, but when selling to the minuscule market that is Australia you need to do a lot of the work yourself.

And finally, the site sold for a multiple of around 14 years income! But clearly the bidders weren't after my site for the ad revenue, they would have had much bigger plans.

Cheers
Shane.

I know I'm a bit late to reply, but congrats! That's an awesome sale!

If you ever do a write up on your experience on selling an Aussie site on flippa I'd be very keen to read. The thought has crossed my mind a couple of times, but I always had doubts about whether it'd be effective.
