Mainly because I own hundreds of domains which would warrant the same sort of development - when ecommerce isn't my core competency (I've never run an ecommerce store) or passion and I like to stick to what I know rather than be a jack of all trades. Why not try selling gold detectors yourself?
Thanks for the assessment.Excellent leyword
$200-$400 to enduser
40% - 50% of above to (REAL) domainers
Would it make you sleep easier Snoopy if I said I also own golddetector.com.au?The obvious term for that is "gold detectors", that is 20X more popular & golddetectors.net.au is available.

Not as good as golddetectors.com.au obviously but you can't own em all...
Anyway I have thrown Detectors.net.au & Detector.net.au up on the AMA for sale today to see what happens...

I've never heard them referred to anything other than metal detectors.
Google begs to differ...I'm with Jonathan. I don't really see 'gold detector' as a phrase people would search.

There you go Snoppy... both passed in. Couldn't pull a $100 bid.Cheers, always like it when an appraisal is followed up with a sale, we'll now see what they are worth.
Well I should reclarify, people do search more for metal detectors but they ALSO search for gold detectors.
[metal detectors] - 2900
[metal detector] - 720
[gold detectors] - 880
[gold detector] - 210
Maybe you need a special sort of metal detector to detect gold?
