Just reg'd computer-games.com.au on 1/1/11... wouldn't normally go for a hyphen but thought this would be a good candidate for seo and monetisation.

What are your thoughts on this domain and hyphens in general?

Thanks for the comments Timmy and Djuqa. I'm also going to develop pc-games.com.au and pit them against one another... see who comes out on top.

hyphens defiantly do have a little affect on the SEO process of the domain, I have worked on several hyphen domains vs non hyphens.

But in the end of the day they still can work quite well, I have one decent sized site ranking with a hyphen in it and it competes with non hypes but it is hard to beat them.

If you have good link building skills and SEO skills any thing is possible.
