A win for the little guy!

BMW went hard at us for this domain. They hired a private investigator, paid for a 3-person panel ($6,600) and presented hundreds upon hundreds of pages of 'evidence'

We believe the motive for their complaint was becuase we published how much more expensive BMW's are in Australia compared to the US and UK (sometimes twice the price) a few months earlier.

Did they go straight to WIPO, or did they send you some encouraging letters first?

Interesting that they avoided AUDA. Most likely because of the precedent set with your win vs GM Holden in an almost identical scenario.

Bradderick, I can't really remember if they sent letters. If they did and they were rude and threatening they would have gone straight to the bin anyway. They were represented by Davies Collison Cave who aren't the smartest cookies when it comes to IT law... having dealt with them before on a number of occasions.
