And try and coincide with a big name if you can (which is obviously hard)

Not sure. As a seller, I would think Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday would probably have the most eyes on it. But it's just a guess...

Do you think by friday the mindset is on the weekend and not domains ....i didn't think domainers slept going by the timing of some of the posts here in the past

I agree with David.

Avoid weekends like the plague.

Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays are the best, but the optimum is to list it along side a big ticket domain that is up for no reserve auction (preferably in the same niche).

Seems avoiding the weekends is a good idea...
Best average prices are on a Monday, but the highest volume is on a Friday!

Weekends are always bad for Domain/Website sales from my experience.

But that been said if you sell on eBay (consumer goods) weekends at the right time can be ok i.e Sunday night, but that been said week nights are usually better too lol.
