i'm having an issue this week where some domains i wanted to let go got autorenewed, i'm trying to get them un renewed (50) so i'll update this thread later.
on registration the registra sets the autorenew field as a default, i personally believe it should be a choice.
so i phoned auda and they were very helpful giving me the link to this, http://www.auda.org.au/policies/index-of-published-policies/2010/2010-01/
the grace period, go to section 3.1, you have 3 days.
whats interesting ( and i am about to find out ) is i was told this is still at the disgression of the registra to implement it, so if they choose not to then i'll have to wait another 2 years.
MORAL: check your auto renews, some people love them, i don't, as we are all busy and the money just gets ripped from your credit card + the time i have spent detailing this to the registra which i won't mention as the matter is still in limbo.
everything i have sen the registra has been sent to auda as they are VERY interested in the outcome.
but at this moment it all seems "happy families"
by monday we'll see, but i have to wonder what happens if this occurs on a friday? maybe 3 days is just not long enough as access to support may not be available over the weekend and 3 days is GONE? just food for thought.
