Hi All,
I'm doing a bit of an SEO experiment regarding how easily / quickly it is is possible to rank for a semi-random low competition keyword (aim is 48 hours to get to top 5). The keyword is "railway sleepers sydney", and it appears according to Google Keyword tool to get about 110 uniques a month, so not a zero value one.
There are no domain name matches in the experiment, but there ARE keywords in the path part of the URL. "Competitors" are not strong or well optimised, but do in a couple cases have partial domain name matches.
Not sure if anyone is interested at all in this type of experiment, and hope I don't upset anyone by dropping a link: Railway Sleepers Sydney
The above links to my blog post (which discusses SEO), which hopefully someone will find interesting. Link to origional forum discussion elsewhere is here I realise this post may be borderline within the rules here, but hope it's ok
