A star programmer fired for outsourcing his own job

interesting article and so true, unfortunately if you look deeply when reading it i feel it shows how lack luster the newspaper industry is, the blatant key word stuffing in the article is horrible.

i feel so sorry for true journalists having to cop the BS from short minded news execs that force them to write this crap.

note: i post this without ANY knowledge or skill in this area of journalism, i post it as a laypersons perception of the crap, which i think is bloody good market research for them.

This is what he should have done to avoid detection:

Set up a server at his home, or somewhere else off-site, for the Chinese dude to access. Then he could proxy their traffic, making it appear that the traffic was coming from his home.

Exactly!
No wonder he outsourced his work.
Any decent programmer should have known how to hide his tracks.

LOL, yep he missed the first step in his hirering process " find someone who knows what to do"

but i think good on him, if he is a little smart i am sure he already has a new job.

"why did you get sacked from your job"?

"i was being efficient and saving them money"
