I’m still in Adelaide as of now, driving back to Melbourne still unsure at this stage if I’ll make the meet up in time!..
Pretend it's the good ole days and you're in the Adelaide Grand Prix ........if police pull you over, just tell em you're a member of Auda ...... they will escort you!

once again it was a great night, quality not quantity, good to see SUPPLY class represented by anthony wielding his axe in the presence of 3 directors , followed by some big news from auda as the night went on.
all in good fun and later anthony got a 2nd round with cameron and alistair arriving late, i just stood back and watched
now " thats what i'm talking about" ............
SUZABRO, thanks for making the effort and great to see you, i'm sorry to say but the popular vote of prettiest at the table went to snoopy as he couldn't stop looking at himself in the mirror !!! ( snoopy had the casting vote)

thanks to netfleet and domain sheild, drop for sponsoring the night, i think we went way short of budget?
i just LOVE these meetups even though i end up doing a lot of listening these days .....YEP, i do have the ability to listen.

they really are a fun night out and if you haven't been then you are missing out, everyone is welcome but come with broad shoulders and no ego LOL

MERRY XMAS everyone

That was a crazy night tim, thanks for sticking it out to the end with me. I am a little alarmed to hear that I was swinging an axe about but hopefully it can be put down to the weiss bier talking. We ended up only $6 short of the budget which was no mean feat considering the pints where all half price!

The rundown of DnEbook's screenplay was very entertaining, thanks for that.

Chris and Suzabro... loved chatting about archaic Document Object Models and the birth of Ajax

Erhan, Ned pity you left before the official announcement... is sounds like I was on form after that. It was however good to catchup with both of you briefly. I trust you will both have a relaxing Christmas with your families.

Netfleet, thanks for the drinks... we made sure to use your tab first :p

Snoopy... I must apologise for the "dumbest thing i have ever heard" comment... It turns out I heard something even dumber only half an hour later and then it turns out I said something even dumber shortly after that.

It has been an unbelievable year for me personally and I am quite glad 2017 is almost over. I plan to lazy about on a beach in Sydney over Christmas. I hope you all get to have a relaxing break too.

its ok anthony, i should create a list of stupid things i said in 2017 but it would take to long, naaaaa you weren't that bad but a funny moment was when you kept asking me questions ( 123 times ) and my answer was " ask cameron" and then cameron walked in ! now that was funny. i captured it on video:
WOW, $6 short.........we did well

Good to se Ned remains a man of the people and stuck to beer ..
In that lies something very important and it’s something that those closely involved at auDA should understand.. (maybe should have understood already)
If anyone’s in town later this week for a catch-up let me know, I know it’s a hectic time & all..

Seasons greetings to you all!..

Not funny. Everyone keeps telling me to ask Cameron, even Cameron tells me to ask him. No ones seems to understand that THAT is a problem. I even told Cameron that I refuse to bring my concerns to him directly because I believe that multiple parties need to be involved in the conversations.

With regards to my questions the right answer was either "no comment" or "there is a press release scheduled" or "piss off I don't answer to you" the very idea that all questions should be directed to and therefore filtered by Cameron is not a good idea. Now I need to be very clear here... I am not saying Cameron is right or wrong in the direction he is going, however I firmly believe that he is not consulting the members BEFORE he sets the course he plans to travel in and starts moving. We as members hear about it after it is already to late and are given an impossible decision. We either have to following in his wake picking up the pieces, get run over if we happen to be in the path he is traveling or expend an enormous amount of energy trying to get the ship back on course.

I was under the impression that auDA is a membership based organisation and not a dictatorship. We should not be continually separated and forced to engage with the CEO on a one by one basis.

I agree with domainshield. Consulting members isn't something AUDA is serious about.

AUDA's government response is a good example of it, released to members 20 minutes before responses are due. Maybe they really didn't have time but the response is 80% against the members interests.
