Looks like auDA are keen to start growing their membership base.
It will be interesting to see how many people get involved.

MEMBERSHIP ROADSHOW
We have great plans for auDA members over the next 12 months, starting with a national membership roadshow – led by some of our board and senior staff. We would like to invite to all members to apply to host an event, in their city.
The aim of the roadshow
We want to hear more from you and help build our membership base, to enable more Australians to have their say in ensuring the .au domain name space remains a stable and secure environment.
We are proposing to set up a national tour called 'Member Plus One Meet-up' - #audamember+1meet-up
What does hosting mean?
What will auDA do?
- Suggesting a location that suits the needs of the event
- Suggesting a theme of relevance, so we can engage other organisations in that region to participate eg. Universities, Telcos, ISPs, Financial Institutions, State Government representatives in the area and more
- Inviting your interested, local community – your plus one – to encourage them to become a member, too
- Promoting the event throughout your local networks/social media
Good idea?
- Run the event with you
- Select the most relevant location and times, from the submitted host applications
- At the event – take you through some of what we do eg. The history of auDA and .au, our community programs, our compliance work, our security efforts, our research or any number of things we do or have plans to do, to keep .au at the top of the minds of Australians
- Attract local speakers of relevance to the domain name community and the wider tech sector
- Provide promotional collateral and merchandise
- Cover reasonable costs
- Write a post event wrap-up blog on each stop of the roadshow, including key take outs – for board consideration
If you think it is and you'd like to submit a 'host application' all you need to do is write to helen.hollins@auda.org.au - with a topic/theme you would like covered on the day/night, a suggested month of the new financial year, time of day, location and if you can, venue.
We look forward to hearing from you.
