So let me guess, you won this auction at $1102 and will now go on to make your fortune with it?

YES, thats a fair statement by someone with drive !!

FM, its much better the posse dot com !!!

but as i have ALWAYS said, its not the domain name ... its what you do with it.

How cares about posse.com? The missing issue is causation, if posse.com is a successful site it probably has little to do with the domain.

No I didn't buy it. Too much of a headache.

I NEVER use drop/netfleet auctions to buy names.
(Sorry guys at NF & DROP)

What about the "FORTUNE" you could have made? You'd give that up because you don't like auctions?

I can / have /will make s fortune from a lot of different names/niche.

How many others could have / did try to catch that name?

Causation may refer to:
Causation (law), a key component to establish liability in both criminal and civil law
Causation in English law defines the requirement for liability in negligence
Causation (sociology), the belief that events occur in predictable ways and that one event leads to another
Proximate causation
"Correlation does not imply causation", phrase used in the sciences and statistics
Proximate cause, the basis of liability in negligence in the United States
Causality, in philosophy, a relationship that describes and analyses cause and effect
Causality (physics)

Same as most people.

"FORTUNE - Luck, a chance happening, or that which happens beyond a person's controls "

not MY definition of a FORTUNE.

my definition of a fortune is where you have created passive income that pays you more per day then you can spend per day without you doing ANYTHING, and i mean NOTHING.

"old money" , " compound interest" are 2 terms that come to mind.

I call BS, you claim you can make a fortune from it but you won't even bid.

Everyone here could / would / should make a good income (Fortune means something entirely different) from Migraine.com.au.
So I ask this question why didn't everyone here bid for the name exactly as I didn't?
Not everyone here invests in higher priced but excellent names. Exactly as not all here are ex used-car salesmen (although they often are).
There are many and varied facets to domaining and not everyone does every aspect.

Because I can't see a way to make a profit from it directly. And being a developer not a domainer, I buy to develop. No clear immediate idea how to turn a profit from it means I don't buy.

What's your excuse?

Virtually the same as yours, I Develop Minisites, Websites, Develop Software Applications and Also Design MCU Based Process Controllers (as in the MCU board used for my avatar).
My formal training is in Micro-Electronic Engineering and Software, not finance, marketing or Health.

I didn't bid because I can't see way I can make a fortune from it. I can't speak for everyone else but I'd guess it is much the same.

I think if people believe they can make a fortune and don't act that is another thing entirely. You've have to say they clearly can't make a fortune from it because they can't even take the first step of bidding at auction.
